Under the leadership of Bruckner Chase, the new Toa o le Tai program teaches open water swimming and ocean conservation.
The program is inspiring youth to become American Samoa’s and the world’s ocean heroes and is now part of the curriculum at Samoana High School with plans to expand the program to schools throughout the Territory following the Spring 2012 pilot program.
Students will receive school credit for become open water swimmers and ocean science experts.
