Helping Charles With An Open Water Swim

Spread the love

Ulla Hester
, the Race Director for the Charles River Swimming Club is looking for volunteers to help make its June 2nd Charles River Swim in Cambridge, Massachusetts a continued reality.

The swim is scheduled for June 2th, with a rain date of Sunday, June 17th. Volunteers are asked to be there from about 6:30 am to 10:30 am to help out with registration, timing, post-race food set-up, set-up and clean-up. Volunteers who are willing to kayak during the race will be provided the boats and life vests. Volunteers can use this link here to sign up.

The clean-up of the Charles River is greatly appreciated as swimmers used to sneak in early morning swims in the 1980s at significant risk.
