The Swim Across America Long Island Sound event is in its 20th year. It aims to raise US$1,320,000 for its 1-, 4- and 6-mile events.

Event Director Tony Sibio is excited for another record-breaking event. With swimmers like Mark McCooey (US$23,420), Timothy Connors (US$9,400), Kaitlin Connors (US$7,500), John Mara, Jr. (US$6,380) and Erin Mahoney Cassin (US$4,525) raising money, it looks like another good year.

The Swim Across America Long Island Sound event is on July 28th at Larchmont Yacht Club in Larchmont, New York.
