
After a long career as a marathon and channel swimmer, Srikaanth Viswanathan is now turning his talents to coaching and mentoring others in the open water.
The 2021 2021 Tenzing Norgay National Adventure Award winner, recipient of India’s highest national adventure award, has been coaching a number of swimmers.
In June, he coached both a relay and a solo swimmer across the English Channel.
On June 18th, he coached the Dreams to Live – Better Together team with Tanvi Viplav Deore and Srinath Kattungal Mukundan from India, Yana Lohvinenko from Ukraine, and Boris Najafov from Azerbaijan to a 10 hour 58 minute crossing with escort boat pilot Stuart Gleeson.

11 days later, he guided 33-year-old , a mother of two from Nashik, on a 17 hour 41 minute crossing
On 29 June 2024, she completed a 33.5 km crossing of the English channel at the age of 33 in 17 hours 41 minutes with escort pilots Reg Brickell, Jr. and Ray Brickell that won her the Channel Swimming Association Greatest Feat of Endurance award for the 2024 season.
