Colin Hill, the Marathon Swimming Technical Manager for the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, is an avid swimmer who “just had a lovely swim in the Serpentine this Monday morning. A nice 17°C (62.6°F).”
The London Organising Committee will hold the Olympic 10K Marathon Swim test event on August 13th. The event website will have a map displayed shortly.
Called the London 10km Marathon Swim International, the invited athletes will include the top 30 male and top 30 female 10K swimmers from the FINA World Swimming Championships to be held in Shanghai this July.
