Emergency Situations In The Open Water Around The World

Children are taught to call 911 in the United States if there is an emergency situation. Children in other countries are taught differently.

For open water swimmers and coaches who travel around the world, it is important to know the proper emergency phone numbers in the country where they are swimming and traveling.

Some examples of these numbers include:

065 – Mexico (medical)
102 – Maldives
107 – Argentina (medical)
110 – Japan, China, Taiwan (police)

111 – New Zealand
