Dave Smith, a mechanical engineer from Point Loma, California completed his dream this summer.

By successfully crossing the English Channel in 10 hours 52 minutes, his career spans both the Catalina Channel (9:22:24 in 2010) and the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim (8:03 in 2011). His trifecta led the mechanical engineer to become the 62nd member of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
