Surfers, boogie boarders, and body surfers are pretty cool compadres to open water swimmers wherever we travel. If we swim parallel to the shoreline just outside the shore break, the surfers seem like guardians of the venue, patiently waiting on their boards for the next wave…as they watch us swim past.

And their numbers are growing…
