Cindy Walsh from San Diego, California became the second person from America’s West Coast mecca of marathon swimming to join the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
The manager of cardiovascular service at Sharp Memorial Hospital was a former age-group swimmer who turned her swimming skills toward the open water. After her triumphs in the Catalina Channel and the Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, she completed the English Channel in 14 hours 19 minutes.
She become the 63rd member of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming.
