The Los Angeles Times reported that a strong friend of open water swimming in the USA, Chuck Wielgus is a finalists for the vacant chief executive position at the US Olympic Committee.

Chuck is currently the CEO of USA Swimming which has enjoyed an unparalleled track record of Olympic success as it continues to expand its membership under Chuck’s inclusive and motivational style of leadership. Chuck has always been strongly supportive of the sport of open water swimming in the USA. USA Swimming’s loss most certainly would be US Olympic Committee’s gain.
