

Bengisu Avci (28, Turkey, MSF bio here, IISA bio here) is a Triple Crown swimmer and has completed five of the Oceans Seven channels with the North Channel and Tsugaru Channel on her schedule this July.
She joined a number of athletes, physicians, writers and personalities who have spoken about open water swimming at TED Talks around the world when she talked about the Oceans Seven at Yaşar University in Bornova, Turkey on May 14th. She explained, “İt was about the Oceans Seven journey. Turkish people have great interest in open water swimming. They keep looking for challenges, mostly masters swimmers, but also young swimmers too, I am trying to guide them.”
