Celebrated Australian marathon swimmer Penny Palfrey took a long flight from her home Down Under to Grand Cayman.
Together with her husband Chris Palfrey, they were warmly greeted by a number of high-ranking officials and politicians from the Cayman Islands. The island nation is bracing for her unprecedented solo marathon swim.
Her expected 30-40 hour traverse from Little Cayman to Grand Cayman, across a 68-mile expanse of beautifully blue waters, is scheduled for a 3 am departure on June 9th.
