Andreas Waschburger of Germany finished eighth in the 2012 Olympic 10K Marathon Swim in London.

And he wants to have another shot at standing on the Olympic podium in Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro this August.

So he is working hard, fanatically hard.

He recently did a 10,000m training swim in a 50m pool, finishing in 1 hour 49 minutes 22 seconds – split times are on left.
