Ana Marcela Cunha defended her title in dominating fashion at the 50th annual Travessia Mar Grande-Salvador, a 15 km open ocean swim in Brazil. Ana Marcela was followed by fellow Brazilian Marcia P. Santos, American Lexie Kelly, Jacinä Conceiçäo and Renata Risis Oliveira.
The conditions were rough. Kelly remarked, “The ocean was very, very choppy, but it is a great race. The organizers did a great job here.”
