Ana Marcela Cunha, always the competitor, gutted out a close victor over a tight pack in the warm-water conditions in Shantou, China on the last stop of the 2012 FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup circuit.

The Brazilian superstar won her second FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Cup title based on her consistently high performances in all 8 of the World Cup races in Santos (Brazil), Viedma (Argentina), Eilat (Israel), Cancun (Mexico), lac St-Jean (Canada), lac Mégantic (Canada), Hong Kong (China) and Shantou (China).
