Alexandra Panayides who represents Cyprus on the international marathon swimming circuit had a blazing day at this past weekend’s Great London Swim at London’s Victoria Dock.

The rapidly emerging Panayides, wearing neoprene, won the event in 20:06 coming in third overall. Olympic marathon swimming gold medal favorite Keri-Ann Payne, who swam in a different heat to Alex without a wetsuit finished in 20:58…with her eye on another marathon swim on August 9th in Hyde Park.
