Over the past century and more, there have been many landmarks, monuments, and memorials erected or established that honor luminaries in open water swimmers community around the world. The legacies of open water swimmers have been commemorated in various ways and forms over the decades:

The Colegio Suizo de México (@colegiosuizomexico) honored International Marathon Swimming Hall of Famer Antonio Argüelles (66, Mexico, MSF bio here, @arguelles7mares) with a massive 25-meter mural in the hallway of its campus pool (see here). The mural depicts his journey to achieve the Oceans Seven, serving as a reminder that difficult challenges can be overcome through determination, discipline, and perseverance. Novartis provided the support to make the mural possible.
