Russia’s Kira Guseva (14, Russia, World Aquatics bio here) clearly won the 14-15 year girls 5 km race at the World Junior Open Water Swimming Championships in Santa Fe, Argentina today. She won by 1 minute 24 seconds over her teammate Anastasiia Siniakova (14, Russia, World Aquatics bio here) who touched out bronze medalist Sofia Ovalles, Argentina (14, Argentina, World Aquatics bio here).

She led from the start to finish.

Guseva and Siniakova replicated their 1-2 finish from the 2026 European Aquatics Junior Open Water Swimming Championships that were held in Hungary in July.
