Ice Swimming Camp in the Baltic Sea
Between January 2nd – 6th 2027, Gerald Daringer (48, Austria, IISA bio here, @daringer.gerald, @aqua_n_ice) will host an AQUA and ICE camp in Jūrmala / Latvia on the Baltic Sea for five days of ice swimming, technique, mental training, and breathing exercises.
The Austrian ice swimmers explains, “This camp is for anyone who wants to do more than just try ice swimming; they want to become safer, stronger, and more aware – whether you already have experience in cold water or are looking for your next challenge. We will train daily in sea, focusing not only on the cold itself, but on everything that is essential for successful ice swimming including:
• Daily ice swimming sessions under professional guidance
• Ocean training in theory & practice – waves, currents and conditions
• Safety in cold water
• Nutritional advice for ice swimmers
• Swimming technique & video analysis
• Technical and conditioning training in the 50m Olympic pool
• mental coaching & breathing training
• Professional equipment rental
• Admissions
• AQUA and ICE Certificate for all participants
• Choice of AQUA and ICE bathing cap or cup
• Complete organization and training planning
• Expert materials and training documents
• Airport Transfer & Shuttle Service in Latvia
• joint cultural program
• Dinner together featuring local specialties, including 2 drinks
After training, the Baltic Beach Hotel & SPA offers a rich breakfast with sea view and Prosecco, 120 minutes of Sea Wellness daily, a 25m pool with warm seawater, Roman, Himalayan, and cedarwood saunas, and a fitness area with a Powerlab Gym.
Accommodations for 4 nights and flights are not included and are charged separately depending on the desired room category (Classic Room at €560 for a single or €280 per person for a double, Superior Room at €800 per person for 4 nights, or a Deluxe Room for €960 per person for 4 nights).
The AQUA and ICE fee is €985 per person, a 15% discount.
Daringer explains further, “For me, ice swimming doesn’t simply mean staying in the cold water for as long as possible. It’s about breathing, focus, technique, safety, and the ability to remain calm even when the body actually demands something else. This combination is precisely what makes AQUA and ICE so special: cold meets clarity. Training meets experience. Challenge meets safety. And of course, the shared experience is not neglected either. Baltic Sea. Winter. Ice. Swimming. Sauna. Sea. Good people.”
