Greek philosopher Heraclitus commented on how nothing is ever the same, “No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man.”
Same with my training in Huntington Beach in Southern California, a beach where I train. Every time I swim, the conditions, wave height, wave direction, wind speed, wind direction, number of dolphins, number of sting rays and other (unseen) marine life seem to differ – which makes it great training grounds.
