Jakub Patecki (28, Poland, @patec_wariatec, @patecwariatec1) is a open water swimmer, mountaineer, and triathlete from Kraków, Poland. He is arguably the world’s most popular open water swimmer (or at least, among the most well-known and well-followed with currently 1.88 million YouTube followers and 2.5 million Instagram followers with over a quarter of a billion views).
By December 2025, he completed the Summits after he summited Mount Everest, Vinson Massif in West Antarctica, Aconcagua in the Andes, South America, Kilimanjaro in Tanzania on the border with Kenya in Africa, Carstensz Pyramid in New Guinea, the highest peak in Oceania, Mount McKinley in Alaska, Mont Blanc in the Alps, Mount Kosciuszko in Australia, and the Elbrus in Russia, included in the Seven Summits as the highest peak in Europe.
This February, he turned his sights to swimming 160 km across the Baltic Sea from Sweden to Poland where his crew filmed FOKA: 160 KM WPŁAW PRZEZ BAŁTYK [see above]. The video already quickly compiled 255k views during the first 10 hours of its release – with many more views to follow.
