This morning at 1:58 am, she set off from Sandy Beach on Oahu on a rare Oahu-to-Molokai attempt. She aimed to become the first woman to complete a 45 km crossing of the Molokai Channel. Tonight, she successfully landed on South Pāpōhaku Beach on Molokai Island at 6:07 pm, captained by Michael Twigg-Smith (@captmike808).
Her pretty straight tracker of her 16 hour 9 minute swim across the Molokai Channel is here.

Someday Finally Came
Hu said, “This was my fifth Oceans Seven swim with the Tsugaru Channel and the North Channel remaining. I was inspired to swim Molokai because I have family here in Hawaii and pass by the road by Sandy’s [Beach] almost everyday when I’m visiting. I always see Molokai and think to myself, ‘someday!'”.
That day finally came.
