Francismar Siviero is a Brazilian open water swimmera from Grêmio Náutico União who swims and eloquently and comprehensively documents many open water swims around the world in the Portuguese language via his blog NATAÇÃO MASTER. He also created the Swimming Through Postcards project where he describes his global tour to iconic locations and open water swimming events.

The 2025 Swimming Through Postcards project focused on a series of open water challenges throughout Italy and France. Siviero explains, “The initiative goes beyond sports. Through swimming, the projects promotes reflections on sustainability, social inclusion, and healthy living, connecting people with nature and the local culture of the places visited.

In 2025, the project centered on his open water swimming tour in Italy and France. He competed in the Italian Open Water Tour in Genoa, Liguria, then the Oceanman Italy in Cattolica, and 50th Cavi Sestri Levante on the Italian Riviera.

He also competed in the Défi de Monte-Cristo in Marseille, the 2 km Oceanman France in Banyuls-Sur-Mer on September 14th and the 2 km Traversée de Nice à la Nage in Nice on September 21st [photos below]. He described his participation, “Each stage reinforced the spirit of the project: combining sport, environmental awareness, and social integration in locations considered true postcards of the world.

I also took part in a special environmental awareness action: the Beach Cleanup held at Ponchettes Beach in Nice on World Cleanup Day that symbolized one of the central pillars of the project, which seeks not only to encourage sports practice, but also to promote ecological and social responsibility.

The Swimming Through Postcards Project transforms each race into an invitation for reflection and change of habits. By crossing seas, rivers, and lakes around the world, I can demonstrate that it is possible to age in an active, healthy, and inspiring way.
