LA28 Olympic Fever Starting To Spread In Long Beach

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympics Games are scheduled to run from July 14th to July 30th 2028 with the Paralympics scheduled from August 15th to 27th.

The City of Long Beach will host a number of events including the Olympic 10 km open water swim and the Para Swimming pool events (@la28games) within walking distance of each other. “The Paralympic swimmers are always so incredible to watch and behold as they move their bodies so well in the water,” said Steven Munatones. “To see 17,000 spectators cheering on these athlete at the 2024 Paris Paralympics was so enjoyable and exciting. One day, it would be great to add an open water swimming event to the Paralympic schedule.”

With the open water swim held along the Long Beach Waterfront, the LA28 Para Swimming will be held in a temporary pool o the Convention Center parking. Both will feature stunning views of the Pacific Ocean coastline. 

The City of Long Beach will host Beach Volleyball at Alamitos Beach, Coastal Rowing and Open Water Swimming along the Long Beach waterfront, Sport Climbing, Target Shooting, Artistic Swimming, and Water Polo at the Convention Center, Handball at the Long Beach Arena, Canoe-Sprint and Rowing at Marine Stadium, and Sailing at Belmont Shore) was palpable
