Hungary (Kristóf Rasovszky) Wins Another European 10 km Title

Spread the love

Earlier in the day Viktória Mihályvári Farkas (21, Hungary, World Aquatics bio here@v_mihalyvari) won the women’s 10 km race at the 2025 European Aquatics Open Water Swimming Championships in Stari Grad, Croatia.

The men followed and, true to form, Kristóf Rasovszky of Hungary (World Aquatics bio here, @kristofrasovszky) topped the podium in the afternoon’s 10 km race on Day One of the Championships. He won in 1:47:23.68 ahead of two Frenchman Logan Fontaine  (World Aquatics bio here, @logan.fontaine_) in 1:47:26.05 and Marc-Antoine Olivier (World Aquatics bio here, @marc_antoine_olivier_officiel) in 1:47:26.18, and Italy’s Gregorio Paltrinieri (World Aquatics bio here, @greg_palt).

With Rasovszky just setting a Hungarian national record in the 400m freestyle in 3:45.32 at the Hungarian National Championships in April, it would have been a tall task for anyone to outsprint him over the last 400 meters.
