
Since 2009, Vanesa Garcia has traveled from her native town of Santa Fe in Argentina to professional marathon swims around the world.
For example, Garcia has competed in the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023 and 2025 editions of the 32 km Traversée internationale du lac St-Jean in Roberval, Québec, Canada.

This year, Garcia is traveling throughout South America as one of the Oceanman ambassadors including in her hometown of Cordoba in Argentina. She said, “Returning to the open water after my injury really makes me happy. They were tough months [during rehabilitation), but I’m back.”


She is also giving clinics in Uruguay at the Laguna del Sauce in Maldonado.
