Philipp Tiefenbrunn is a 32-year-old extreme athlete – and the most recent Iron Iceman – from Zams, Austria.
He started his ice swimming journey in 2019 when he finished third in the Ice Kilometer race in 3.6°C water in Altenwörth, Austria.
In January 2020, he then stepped up in distance and completed an Ice Mile in Burghausen, Germany in 4.43°C water in 28 minutes 49 seconds.
He most recently became an Iron Ironman on June 16th when he completed the Ironman Klagenfurt in Austria in 10 hours 47 minutes at the age of 32.
