British open water swimmer and aquapreneur Lou Jones is closing one chapter in her business life.
Jones announced, “I am sorry to let you know that Sea & Stream will be closing its doors at the end of February 2024. As a small business, I had hoped that the Christmas sales would give us a boost after a difficult year, but unfortunately, it was not enough to sustain the business. The increasing cost of living has made it more and more challenging to keep up with the competition from larger retailers.“
With Sea & Stream closed, she says, “I have decided to spend time cuddling my kids and working out what I do next – any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I am proud of the way I ran this little business over the 4 years and would like to thank everyone who has supported us. There is still lots of lovely stock remaining, and we have reduced all prices by 25%. We will remain open until February 28th.
If you have a gift voucher from us, please spend it as soon as possible, or if you bought one for someone please let them know that they need to spend it.
I encourage you to continue supporting small businesses during these tough times. Thank you again for your support.”
