Due to her tremendous solo and relays performances in the 50m, 100m, 250m, and 500m freestyles, 50m and 100m backstrokes, 50m and 100m breaststrokes at the IISA 5th World Championship in Samoëns, France in January 2023, German paraswimmer Tina Deeken earned mention in the 2024 edition of the Guinness World Records book [see below].
Later on in the summer on July 19th, Deeken and Tobias Prüßner completed a self-supported 50 km tandem swim in the Weser to raise awareness of its growing salinization problem.
