Feeling Charitably Chilly On Veterans Day

Spread the love

The CIBBOWS Veterans Day Charity Open Water 5K Swim on November 6th will present a chilly challenge before the winter season begins in full gear.

The Service Women’s Action Network and the Wounded Warrior Project will benefit from the proceeds of the 1-mile, 2-mile and 5K races.

The courses run parallel to shore with a turn at the majestic Coney Island Pier. In the interest of safety, swimmers have the option of switching distances mid-race with the water temperatures will be around 13-15°C (55-59°F)
