Petar Stoychev And Pilar Geijo Win FINA Grand Prix Series

FINA cancelled the 10th and final leg of the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix scheduled for on October 27th in Fujairah where Fran Crippen tragically died on Saturday.

The final rankings of the FINA Open Water Swimming Grand Prix circuit are based on the first nine races where two athletes distinguished themselves.

Based on their outstanding year of marathon swimming, Petar Stoychev of Bulgaria and Pilar Geijo of Argentina were honored for their year of success:

MEN
1. Petar Stoychev (BUL) 107 points
2. Damien Blaum (ARG) 95 points
3. Rodolfo Valenti (ITA) 61 points

WOMEN
1. Pilar Geijo (ARG) 124 points
2. Esther Nunez (ESP) 106 points
3. Antonella Bogarin (ARG) 85 points
