Olympian Mark Warkentin of Santa Barbara will appear on an upcoming episode of Open Water Wednesday where he shares a variety of interesting observations from the 2008 Olympic 10K Marathon Swim, his 28.5-mile race against the English Channel record holder Petar Stoychev around Manhattan Island and his road back after his un-retirement decision.
Mark and Petar’s mano-a-mano race in New York City can be seen in part here.
He’s a real contender, that is for sure…and provides great insights from an Olympic open water swimmer. Stay tuned.
