The Legacy Of Tom Wear, A Marvelous Man Of The Marina

Spread the love

Started in only 2009, the Tom Wear Memorial Swim won the 2012 U.S. Master Swimming bid for the USMS Two Mile Open Water National Championship.

The new charity race on beautiful Lake Hopatcong in New Jersey has come along fast and its selection as a national championship race is a tribute to its organizers, volunteers and participants.

Tom purchased Prospect Point Marina at the age of 28 and went on to develop other businesses. A popular, generous and respected member of the Lake Hopatcong community, he passed away due to a brain infection.

But his legacy lives on in and with the open water community.
