Swim Across America has been making waves for two decades.
With each stroke, each swimmer and each event giant waves are formed in its nationwide fight against cancer.
Swim Across America, Long Island Sound in its 19th season raised over US$1,200,000.
Nine swimming venues, nearly 1,000 swimmers, 70 teams and over 500 volunteers participating in events at the Larchmont Yacht Club and Larchmont Shore Club, Saxon Woods, New York Athletic Club, Westchester Country Club, Lakeside Field Club, Orienta Beach Club, Lake Isle Country Club, Coveleigh Club and Germonds Pool took part in this collective community effort.
Swim Across America is closing in on raising almost US$40 million over its years of providing opportunities for swimmers and beneficiaries alike.
