Swedish lids are the calluses that appears as a bump of flesh on the upper eyelids of swimmers who wear Swedish goggles, a popular type of swimming goggles worn by many competitive pool and open water swimmers.

The calluses are caused by pressure or friction on the skin caused by the plastic edge of the Swedish goggles pressed against the soft flesh over the eye socket.

Swedish lids are formed as the skin thickens as a protective reaction. Swedish lids can appear even after one long swimming workout, but are more often caused as a result of repeated daily use of Swedish goggles over an extended period.
