Jason Lassen will attempt to be the first person to solo marathon swim from Beaver Island in Lake Michigan to the shoreline in Good Hart, Michigan.
Similar to his record-setting breaststroke swim across the Catalina Channel in 2010 that was done without the benefit of GPS technology, the 39-year-old Lassen plans to complete the entire 18-mile swim breaststroke from the island known as America’s Emerald Island.
