Esther Fujimoto passed away from injuries sustained in a collision with a boat at Pineview Reservoir in Utah in August 2011.

Preliminary hearings on her death are underway in Utah. Witness Vaughn Anderson who rowed out to help Fujimoto immediately after the collision testified in court, “I heard what sounded like a woman screaming. Three to five terrifying, blood- curdling screams — like someone who was in complete agony.”
