Greenwich – Stamford Swim Across America raised over $420,000 at this year’s event.
With only 200 swimmers, led by Peter Carlson (US$18,900), Peter Holmquist (US$17,000) and Bobby Pruett (US$15,000), raised an inspirational amount for the June 30th charity event on behalf of the Alliance for Cancer Gene Therapy.
Teams also helped raised a good amount of funds. The top four teams combined to raise US$120,000 with Team CHEMhOes, led by Brooke Lorenze, raised US$36,100 followed by Kicking Cancer for Karen, Chris and Friends with US$34,500, Peter’s Defeaters with US$27,300 and Howie Senior’s Team CureAtors with US$24,700.
