Everyday Heroes Swimming Breast In The West

Spread the love

The only way to describe it is dark, scary and courageous.

At the stroke of midnight on November 24th, Aaron Richardson is going to dive into the waters off of Rottnest Island and swim 20km through the night, among sharks, to Cottesloe Beach in Western Australia.

His effort takes him the opposite route of the annual Rottnest Channel Swim and is a tribute to Sam Naudin, his mentor and inspiration to many during her own courageous fight against breast cancer.

Richardson is raising funds for Breast Cancer Care in Western Australia with his BREAST IN THE WEST – Solo Rotto to Cott Midnight Swim for Breast Cancer. Shelley Taylor-Smith will be upon his escort boat and will be tweeting about his program from start to finish (read here).
