Vicko Šoljan of Yugoslavia and Croatia was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame in 2007 as an Honour Administrator.

The long-time organizer of the 16 km Faros Maratón (since 1976) also founded the Croatian Long Distance Swimming Federation that was inducted in the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame as an Honour Organisation in 2012. Šoljan was interviewed by SPTV in his home country:
