The Associated Press reported on a rescue helicopter that crashed at Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on New Year’s Eve as its crew was attempting to rescue a swimmer in high surf. All four crew members survived with only minor injuries and the swimmer was safely brought to shore.
