Tragedy reportedly struck the Vejle Fjord Swim in Denmark on Sunday when a swimmer passed away during an open water swim on the Danish Swimming Federation calendar.

The event was a 1.400 km crossing of Vejle Fjord.

The Federation is among those investigating the causes as well as circumstances and safety procedures that surrounded and followed the death.
