After the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association Awards, the organising committee decided to celebrate with a swim in Lake Camlough where bioprene reigned despite the 4ºC (39ºF) water. Swimmers from Ulster, Munster, Leinster, Connaught and Russia participated including Ger Kennedy, Jane Murphy, Kevin Murphy, Pádraig Mallon, John McElroy, Keith Garry, David Burke, Alison Cardwell, Barry Patterson, Anne Marie Ward.
