All was good during the first 5 and a half hours. But that Hudson River, oh my goodness! The side wind was brutal. Then the cruise ship that supposedly was leaving at four left an hour earlier. They stopped me for 10 minutes and my body temp went down. But I kept going thanks to husband and Megan [Melgaard]. Megan is such a trooper. That was some rough kayaking for both of then. She was not going to let me quit.”
