Matías Ola And Nadadores Extremos In Argentina

Matías Ola, a renowned ice swimmer and a Nadador Extremo from Argentina who was part of the 2013 World Open Water Swimming Performance of the Year in the Bering Strait, is hosting a new extreme swimming competition in his native Argentina.

The Unir el Mundo event (or the International Winter Swimming Festival Argentina) starts off in Buenos Aires. Then the swimmers do a swim in Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires (expected water temperature is 3-5ºC) and swims in Mendoza-Potrerillos, Laguna Mirror.

The event will culminate at the International Festival Perito Moreno Glacier (where the expected water temperatures will vary between 0-2ºC). Athletes will participate from England, South Africa, Estonia, Latvia, Ireland, Chile, Argentina, and Australia.
