Third Time Is A Charm For Kimberly Rutherford

Kimberly Rutherford, an American ice swimmer who successfully crossed Monterey Bay in Northern California on September 5th in 22 hours 6 minutes.

This was the third non-wetsuit crossing in history after Cindy Cleveland‘s pioneering swim in 1980 and Patti Bauernfeind‘s solo swim last week. Bruckner Chase completed a wetsuit-assisted swim in 2010.
