Courtesy of WOWSA, Huntington Beach, California.

Dori Miller embodies resilience. Two times she tried to complete a two-way crossing of the English Channel, and two times she was defeated by Mother Nature.

But her third attempt was a charm as she completed the two-way crossing in 26 hours 21 minutes to became the 118th individual in the 24-hour Club.

Her two-way included a 12 hour 8 minute first leg and a 14 hour 13 minute return crossing that is dramatically described by Nick Nezval here on Elaine Howley’s website.
