International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF), established in 1961, has changed its categories of recognition under the leadership of Beth Yudovin, Peter Bales, Tamara Bruce, Kathrin Lammers, Dan Simonelli, Petar Stoychev, Greg Streppel, Christof Wandratsch, and Ronnie Wong.

Previously, the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame has recognized and inducted individuals and organizations in various categories including Honour Swimmers, Honour Pioneer Swimmers, Honour Coaches, Honour Administrators, Honour Pilots, and Honour Organisations.

But from this year on, there will only be two categories in the Hall of Fame: Honour Swimmers and Honour Contributors.
