International Swimming Hall Of Fame, Class of 2016

The International Swimming Hall of Fame (ISHOF) announced the new dates for ISHOF’s 52nd Annual Honors Weekend: October 28th-30th in Santa Clara, California.

We believe that it will provide a great opportunity to promote swimming and the new Santa Clara Community and Recreation Center, which will be our new home,” explains CEO Bruce Wigo.

The ISHOF Class of 2016 includes open water swimmer Larisa Ilchenko (Russia, shown above) and her pool swimming colleagues Aaron Peirsol (USA), Camille Muffat (France) and Dara Torres (USA), divers Dmitry Sautin (Russia) and Guo Jingjing (China), synchronized swimmer Yelena Azarova (Russia), water polo players of the 2000-2008 Hungarian Olympic water polo team, and marathon swimmers Des Renford (Australia) and Monique Wildschut (Netherlands), American swimming coach Bob Bowman, contributor Sir Peter Heatly (Great Britain), pioneers Simeon Boychenko (Russia), Horst Gorlitz, Frank Gorman (USA), Hilda James (Great Britain) and Leonid Meshkov (Russia).
