Adrian Sarchet completed a 17 hour 24 minute crossing of the Molokai Channel on July 11th.

Captain Michael Twigg-Smith reported, “It was a brutal swim for him. The conditions were close to ideal, but there was a nagging current pushing to the south all the way from the halfway point.

Aaron Begle did some excellent work covering the action out here with a drone. He was at Adrian’s finish on Sandy Beach [on Oahu] and captured the first footage of a channel swimmer exiting the water at Sandy Beach with the help of Jeff Kozlovich.”

The Guernsey native has now crossed five of the seven Oceans Seven channels: English Channel, Catalina Channel, Strait of Gibraltar, North Channel, and Molokai Channel.

His first-hand account of his crossing is here. Video of Sarchet’s dramatic finish on Sandy Beach by videographer Aaron Begle is posted here.
